Frankfurt

Last weekend Mr. Biest and I went on a short trip to Frankfurt am Main (actually a small town near Frankfurt) to visit family.

We arrived there on Thursday evening and after the long car ride we went for a walk and stumbled upon a corn maze. Of course we went in there and luckily we found our way out again. We also visited the nearby castle.

On Friday we went to Frankfurt. Well, first we had to wait an hour for our train since there was some construction work on the tracks we didn't knew off ... but in the end we arrived in Frankfurt to visit the Senckenberg Natural History Museum. I remember going there as a child and ever since I wanted to go back. They have a huge collection of fossils, dinosaur skeletons, minerals, taxidermy and anatomical specimens and I just love Natural History Museums so much. After spending the whole morning in there we explored Frankfurt a bit more.

Coincidentally is was the same weekend the Frankfurt Book Fair was on so on Saturday we went there. I was there once before as a child and I didn't really remember just how crowded it can get! We then spend a lot of our time in the Cosplay area which still was very well attended but not as overcrowded. I nevertheless enjoyed the experience and I even bought a few small things like this super pretty holographic case for my Instax camera!

There is also a short video I put together with clips of this short trip. The music in all my videos is kindly provided by Mr. Biest. I'll leave you the link to my YouTube channel here in case you want to check out my other videos.
